-CONNECTIONS- East Entrance Horse Stables
Hello Crafty Miners and welcome back to the World of RAAR. In this month's Connections post we take a look at the Imperial City East Entrance Horse Stable. This stable actually has quite a bit of history surrounding it so let's take a look.
Originally where now stands a castle-like stable there was once a small mountain. Like much of the Imperial City area, mountains were once the dominant feature. The tunnel through the current stable is the same tunnel that was carved through the rocky mountain surface by Talamer during the Age of Survival, which allowed him to access Buffalo Bay where he was building a road system to connect Imperial City to Roundhead.
As the Age of Survival closed and the Age of Creative began, Imperial City took on a new shape where the majority of the mountains were carved away into buildings. The small mountain which was to become the stables was first shaped into a castle fortress, then as horses were discovered in the world, the fortress was hollowed out and converted into stables. Redstone gates were also added into the design to allow patrons easy access to their steeds.
Since its completion, Imperial City has tripled in size leaving the East Entrance Horse Stable well used and overcrowded. This has prompted discussion at last month's Imperial City Council meeting on the topic of revamping the outdated stable. Though all of the Councillors agree that the stable overcrowding needs to be addressed, there is a split on whether the course of action should be renovation or rebuild. Those proposing the rebuild say that the space could be better used and that it could be combined with the issue of the Imperial City Library Project, which also faces demolition due to its inefficient design. For now council has opened the matter up to the public to weigh in and are also awaiting a feasibility study to be completed.
Thank you for liking and commenting on this post. Please feel free to express your thoughts on the fate of the East Entrance Horse Stable. Should it be renovated or torn down and rebuilt? Let us know and until we meet again, Happy Crafting!

-SPOTLIGHT- Grim Isle
Hello Crafty Miners and welcome back for another edition of Spotlight. This week we travel to the barter town of Grim Isle to explore the history and architecture of this small community.
Built on a small island, Grim Isle was originally home to the poorest people of Grimshire whom had begun trading with travelers that passed along the main road connecting to their former home. Before long a barter town sprung up and soon more and more people flocked to the island in hopes of making a gainful living. Houses were built wherever space could be found until the homes were just barely clinging to the island.
When Sam Co. established a factory in the neighboring Grimshire, it was also decided that the island be made an official Trading Post. A new road was constructed with bridges making Grim Isle a stopping point for travelers.
In recent times, the introduction of horses has changed how roads are constructed. Unable to expand the existing structure, the new horse trail road has had to bypass the island. Hopes are for the inhabitants that the new bypass will not permanently draw away travelers from their town, but only time can tell.
We hope you have enjoyed this look at Grim Isle. Thank you for your support and for your comments. They are much appreciated. Be sure to join our Google+ community so you can get future updates ASAP. You are all awesome! Until we meet again, Happy Crafting!

-SPOTLIGHT- Equestrian Center Train Station
Hello again Crafty Miners! Welcome back to the World of RAAR. This week we travel into the desert to spotlight the Equestrian Center Train Station. Let's get to it.
The Equestrian Center was first conceived when horses were first brought into the world. It was designed to be a place where horses could be raced, breed and tested. Prior to the construction of the Equestrian Center, a transport system was needed to link it to the rest of the kingdoms of the world. This was especially necessary since Sam Co. was hired to build the entirety of the Center and needed to routinely make daily runs between Jursammic Park and the building site.
To accommodate the limited space available in the desert location, it was decided that the train station should be constructed beneath the Equestrian Center. This proved to be a wise decision as both the above ground structure and the train station project would grow in enormity and become some of the largest builds in the World of RAAR.
Being in the desert, sandstone was chosen to form the base of the design feature with quartz as a major decoration element. A spiral walkway circles down around the above ground pavilion to provide access to the subterranean station. Intricately designed floors help guide passengers to and from the train platform which was built into the side of an underground ravine.
There is also a large ornate room dedicated to the Creeper. Many epic battles took place with these fearsome creatures when the desert was first discovered and conquered by Talamer. This room pays homage to those battles experienced by some many in those early years of the survival age.
Though the station has been long completed, the Equestrian Center itself is still in mid construction. No timeline is known for when it may be completed.
Thank you for visiting. We hope you have been inspired in your own creations and we appreciate your support for this blog, community page and YouTube channel. Take care and until we meet again, Happy Crafting!

-World of RAAR News!- Aug 09, 2014
Hello Crafty Miners and welcome to the long awaited edition of RAAR News! We hope you all have been enjoying your summer vacations. Ours has been quite busy and full of adventure. Its been awhile since the last news update and we've compiled quite a few new stories and builds to share. So let's get to it!
PORT DAVIES OPEN FOR BUSINESS
Imperial City is now connected to the waterways of the world with the completion of the new port facility. Shipping containers have already been arriving containing new technologies and building materials, many of which were featured at Expo 1.8. The Port Davies crane, 'Frasier', has been hard at work 24-7 since the opening of the facility early last month and looks to continue to be busy. A new shipment containing rabbits, banners, red sandstone bricks and the various kinds of wood fences, which were recently unveiled at Expo 1.8, will be arriving shortly.
TRANS-HUB STATION RELOCATED
Tri-C Engineering crews were hard at work in late June in preparation to move the Trans-Hub test station to it's new permanent home across the street. In early July, crews began moving the three story structure and in a record pace time, the building was positioned and secured within a day.
Trans-Hub officials were pleased with the swiftness of the move and now have their own staff working diligently hard to complete the rail connections and get teleportation systems online. Once these priority steps have been completed, the canal linkup is then expected to take place.

CHA-CHING!
Over the past month, Sam Co. Construction has been hard at work developing one of the few remaining downtown lots in Imperial City. Silverfisch's Department Store has taken shape quickly during that time, with many of the floors now being installed. No set date has been revealed for the grand opening, but residents are pleasantly excited for the completion of this multistory facility.
A ROOF OVERHEAD
After months of being on hold, engineers have finally signed off on the roof design of The Bank of Ender and construction crews were swiftly sent to work. The roof has been on hold since mid-april pending a design flaw that was weeded out during initial fabrication. Sam Co. had to take the roof plans back to the design team for a complete overhaul.
With the new design approved, work progressed quickly on site with crews having the roof in place within a week. Now that the roof has been put in place, construction has moved to inside the bank.GOING POSTAL
Imperial City now has a Post Office.
Early last month, City Council approved plans to build this communication center. The lot located next to Monson Heights, had been vacant for some time, but within a few weeks of approval, Tri-C Engineering had the newly designed post office complete. Inside, residents of Imperial City each have their own personal mailboxes and can send messages to each other quickly and easily.
"This is another step in bringing our residents closer together and allowing them to communicate freely." said Mayor Talamer during the council approval meeting. "We hope it will be well used."
MOVING UP IN THE WORLD
Mayor Talamer has officially moved into the penthouse of Monson Heights. Located in the heart of downtown Imperial City, Monson Heights is a residential tower that has taken shape over the last year. Last week, crews finished up the last touches of the interior design and movers promptly brought in the furniture.
"It'll be nice to wake up with a view of the city." said the Mayor, "I won't have any more excuses for being late to council meetings."
More move-ins are expected in the near future. Little_Owl_Girl has been working with interior designers on her apartment as well.

UNDERNEATH IT ALL
Construction crews have completed an underground expansion to Monson Heights. An underground horse garage has been installed, allowing apartment owners a spot to park their trusted steeds. Inspired by a SethBling design, the garage can hold up to 11 horses. It's compact design has sparked an interest in using the design in other parking required instances.
JURSAMMIC INFRASTRUCTURE
Infrastructure within Jursammic Park has continued to be developed by Sam Co. Construction. Sign Totems and waypoint structures have been springing up all over the kingdom. In an interview with Sam Co. owner, SammyMacman he said, "We want to make it easy for tourists to navigate through Jursammic Park on horseback. These upgrades should help do that."
There are still a few areas that require this upgrade, but for the most part Jursammic Park has become accessible to all.

MONSON HEIGHTS LOBBY VIDEO EPISODE 2
After months of waiting, episode 2 of the Monson Heights Lobby build is now up. Join Talamer as he continues to develop the Monson Heights lobby framed in an Art Deco style.
Episode 3 is now in the editing process and hopefully can be released soon.

-World of RAAR News!- May. 16, 2014
Hello Crafty Miners, and welcome back to the World of RAAR.
RENT-A-HORSE
This week, Sam Co. began construction of the Skystone Inn. The inn sits next to the Jursammic Park train station, which has also received some upgrading as of late. Views include the pleasant town of Grimshire and the grandeur of Sky Castle. The inn also houses a horse rental shop where visitors to the park can rent one of these fine creatures to explore and tour the expanse of Jursammic Park.

TRAIN STATION UPGRADE
The upgrades to the Jursammic Park train station are nearly complete. After several weeks of renovation, Sam Co. construction crews have expanded the station to include a teleportation system and made the station more user friendly with color coded sections and signs. Sam Co. crews have also opened up numerous areas to natural light.

-World of Raar News!- Mar. 28, 2014
Welcome back Crafty Miners! This week in the World of Raar there are some big construction projects starting up. Let's take a look:
THE BANK OF ENDER BREAKS GROUND
With the Opera House now waiting for new equipment to be shipped in, Sam Co. has begun shifting their building crews to the Bank of Ender construction site. They have quickly made progress on the exterior during the coarse of the week with three sides nearly erected.
Speaking with Raar News, SammyMacman stated his excitement for the new project and is glad his crews are able to utilize the slowdown on the Opera House to their advantage.
In related news, Sam Co. submitted a proposal to acquire the land directly adjacent to the Bank and City Hall in order to establish a park. The proposal stated that more green space in the city core would be beneficial to the area and give the downtown a warmer feeling then just cold buildings. In a statement released by the local Environment Commissioner, it said "adding more green space to an emerging city such as ours is definitely an investment and is a big step in beautifying Imperial City."
Upon review of the proposal during Wednesday's council meeting, city officials unanimously voted to green light the project. "It's another wonderful addition by Sam Co." said the Mayor after the votes were tallied and the project approved.
BACK TO THE FUTURE
In a look to the distant past, the Imperial Library released before and after pictures of Imperial City. "It's truly amazing to see how far things have come and to see all the changes that have taken place over the years." said Mayor Talamer upon viewing the images. "What fun look at the past."

MESA AND GLASS EXHIBITS OPENED
The Imperial City Museum has officially opened their latest exhibits on the ninth floor. The Mesa and Glass exhibits are now on display for public viewing and now bring the museum's number of permanent exhibits to three. Future exhibits will include the Redstone Exhibit, the Transport Exhibit and the Natural Science exhibit, which is expected to be quite extensive.STREET LIGHT UPGRADES NEARING COMPLETION

City crews report that nearly all of the original street lights have now been upgraded to the new solar powered system. So far the new lights have received positive reviews, many praising the clean look and design. "It's definately opened the city up. It doesn't feel as cluttered." said the City Planning Commissioner.
REACHING NEW HEIGHTS
Tri-C Engineering has begun work on a new skyscraper this week. Monson Heights will be a multistory building planned mainly for the use of residential apartments. One of those apartments will be the future home of Mayor Talamer. Construction on this sky reaching structure began Wednesday and is expected to last for several months.

CATHEDRAL CONSTRUCTION UPDATE
In Trevoria, the cathedral project continues to progress. The central structure is currently the main focus with more spires being added. Considering the craftsmen's eye for detail, the cathedral project has proceeded quickly.
HORSE STABLE UPDATE
Also in Trevoria, the newest horse stable project has also continued along with the walls now complete and exterior stalls starting to take shape.
