-Spotlight- Tri-C Tower

Hello again Crafty Miners. This week we return to Imperial City and explore the Tri-C Tower, the tallest building in the World of Raar. Like many of the buildings in Imperial City, the Tri-C Tower started from a mountain. After much effort....and TNT, the building took shape over the course of several months, slowly raising higher into the heavens.

Stone bricks and quartz were chosen as the material for the exterior skin of the tower with a number of gargoyles and The Imperial Empire emblem adorning the front face. Once the exterior shell was in place, work began on the design and layout of the main lobby. After much research, an Art Deco style was chosen for the lobby and much effort was made to maintain this feel. Inspiration for the floor design came from the movie movie poster for The Great Gatsby. The elevators have also been designed with the Art Deco style in mind and utilize a new feature in The World of Raar; the Command Block, which allows for a new way of travel, be it long distance or short.

The second floor of Tri-C Tower has been strictly devoted to a Teleportation system that can send or receive a visitor from any other part of the world. The idea around this was borrowed from Star Trek. Again the newly developed Command Block aids in the function of teleporting someone from one point to another, instantly.

As of yet, the remainder of the skyscraper has vacant office space available. A viewing gallery is planned for the upper floors of the tower which will provide spectacular views of Imperial City. We hope you've enjoyed this brief look into the Tri-C Tower. Stay tuned for more news and building spotlights. Please leave a like, comment or share with your Minecrafty friends. Happy Crafting!

World Of Raar Overview Map

A preliminary map has been generated of the World of Raar. The top right section is the location of Imperial City and the lands of The Imperial Empire. On the far left hand side is the lands of Jursammic Park. At the top middle is Riahtopia and directly south of this is Trevoria. Much more has changed since this map was generated, but it does give a general overview of the world.

-World of Raar News!-

Imperial City Hall Construction Update

Today we were able to take a quick guided tour through the City Hall construction site. Since our last visit, several new offices have been added and are ready to be moved into including Mayor Talamer's.

In addition to the newly constructed Mayor's office, there are also now offices for the Cultural, Zoning and Environmental Commissioners and the City Planner. The second floor is now the focus of the construction team. More offices and a council chamber are planned for this floor.

Opera House Construction Update

Across the street from the City Hall Construction site, The Imperial City Opera house continues to take shape. The roof is now in the initial stages of design, but still lots of work remains to finalize a concept and to have it implemented. Meanwhile inside, the balcony seating now has halls which will connect them to each other and eventually to the main elevator and staircase. Production had ground to a halt over the last weekend due to a illness that spread rapidly through the construction crew. Though not back up to full capacity, Sam Co. has pushed onward in its efforts.

Businesses Establish Offices in Imperial City

In other related news, Sam Co. and Trans-Hub have both established offices within Imperial City.

Sam Co. Office located in Imperial Plaza

Sam Co. is owned and operated by SammyMacman. Its construction arm of the company has led in such projects as The Opera House and the newly announced construction of the Bank of Ender. Mayor Talamer told us in an interview this morning that "Sam Co. is a major player in the construction projects of this city and we look forward to working with SammyMacman and his company."

Trans-Hub Tests Station 1

Trans-Hub is also fairly new to Imperial City. They are known for their streamlining of transport systems, and have already established a test station within Imperial City. Similar stations are now in the plans for across the entire metro area and will allow patrons to have the option to decide how they want to travel; be it by boat, subway or teleportation.

Both offices are located within Imperial Plaza.

-SPOTLIGHT- Sky Castle

We decided to continue our train ride west into the vast expanse of Jursammic Park. This far stretching land is ruled by a creative genius, SammyMacman. We were fortunate to have this opportunity to visit one of the great wonders that exists in the World of Raar, Sky Castle.

Sky Castle, seen here with scaffolding for a future spiral staircase.
Built block for block, the rocky plinth of this incredible structure reaches out of the ocean and spreads into a grassy edifice upon which the entire castle firmly sits. Its quartz and cyan construction takes on the classical forms from ancient Rome and Greece and gives it a futuristic flair.

Throughout the design, attention has been given to details such as gargoyles, spires, and even a tranquil fountain located in the front courtyard.

Originally, this grand building was inspired by a pipe organ with the lofty towers jutting out at different heights. It now stands as one of the most epic builds that we have visited.

Unfortunately, most of the interior has been left temporarily vacant, however we were able to go down into the castle mount via a staircase located at the back of the center tower. Within the rocky edifice is an enormous jungle tree which stands like a guardian statue at the center of the plinth. The tree reaches down to the very depths of the castle base where it was planted on the original earth shortly after the exterior construction had been completed. Looming overhead of this cavernous chamber are several wonderfully designed chandeliers offering much needed light but maintaining an ominous ambiance of awe and mystique.

At night, Sky Castle looms over the darkened terrain like a gleaming tower. It is unlike anything we have ever experienced in our travels.

Truly this is a must-see for all who venture into the realms of Jursammic Park. Hopefully you have enjoyed this brief look at this fascinating structure. Please feel free to leave a comment or a like to show SammyMacman you love his work and want to see more. We will continue to travel around the World of Raar and bring you the pictures and news.
