-RAAR NEWS- February
Welcome back to the World of RAAR News! This is the first news edition of 2015 and will cover off all the happens of February, so let's get to it.
Caching In
Geocaching Headquarters is now under construction in Imperial City. The new building will facilitate the beginning of geocaching in the World of RAAR. It will provide players of this sport with coordinates to go out and find hidden chests that will be located throughout the known world. Talamer, who is the current Mayor of Imperial City, is extremely excited for the new building as he has been an avid geocacher.
You can check out more of the beginning phase of this building construction in the below video:
Jursammic Park Infrastructure Expansion
Over in Jursammic Park, Sammy Macman has had his construction company hard at work on expanding the roads and way points located in his lands.
"Much of the original infrastructure did not support the use of horses; now it does" said the Sam Co. owner in a brief interview. SammyMacman also stated that the widening of the roads was only the beginning as there are many other construction projects within the park that will need connections.
Macwood Reborn
Also in Jursammic Park, Macwood Castle has been undergoing a major renovation which includes the addition of a library and a teleport tower. Interior design changes have also been ongoing in the main castle. Some changes include a wine cellar and updated foyer.
The town has been abuzz with activity since the renovations began, many of the local citizens are rejoicing at the return of Macwood to its former glory.
New Light In The New World
Long ago in the Age of Survival, Talamer went in search of a new land south of what is now Imperial City. Tunneling for miles beneath the vast Galactic Ocean, he came upon a land that he would call 'The New World' where a quaint little village of farmers and merchants had settled.
For years after, the village remained unchanged and untouched until recently when, now Mayor, Talamer traveled to the New World to check in on Lord and Lady TNT_McD. He decided to help the fair people of the New World Village to expand and become connected to the rest of the world.
Employing Tri-C engineering, Talamer set out to build the village into a thriving community, even laying the foundation for a train station with plans for a future rail connection.
Interior Additions
Shortly after seeing Talamer's Walk-Thru of Monson Heights video, SammyMacman decided to develop the second floor of his apartment flat to include a sitting room, study and games room. Couches, a large sturdy desk and a swanky new pool table add to the already lustrous decor. Truly a refined bachelor's pad.
Mapping It Out
Among the many other projects undertaken in February by SammyMacman was the remapping and update mapping of Jursammic Park. Since it's creation the park has nearly doubled in size offering a vast expanse of things to see and do.
Laying Foundations
Construction has also begun on another epic project, the Palace of Fugue. Beginning with the Iceberg Isle teleport station, Sam Co. Construction broke ground in early February on this monumental build. With special permissions from SammyMacman, RAAR News was given a sneak peek of the teleport station and palace.
Interrupting Cow
Recently, a mischievous cow forced her way into the Imperial City Post Office temporarily interrupting mail services. After some persuasion, ol'bessy was escorted safely off the premises to a nearby field. No cows were harmed in the process.

-World of Raar News!- Apr. 18, 2014
Hello Crafty Miners! Welcome back to the latest edition of Raar News. Things have been quiet over the last two weeks in the World of Raar as construction crews have been on vacation. We do have a few highlights to share, so lets get to it!
DOWNTOWN PARK TAKES SHAPE
The landscaping division of Sam Co. has begun redeveloping the lot adjacent to City Hall and the Bank of Ender. The new park will provide those who frequent the downtown core with a much needed green space and a place to enjoy the view across the river and surrounding architecture.

TREVORIAN CATHEDRAL CONSTRUCTION UPDATE
In Trevoria, the elegant Trevorian Cathedral continues to take shape. Recently, the central entrance section has been added. Though a slow process, construction crews on the cathedral have tirelessly continued their meticulous work on this ever emerging wonder.
HORSE STABLE CONSTRUCTION UPDATE
The exterior of Lady TNT_McD's horse stable has continued to grow. Work has also begun on the interior with the installation of new horse stalls.
THE IMPERIAL EMPIRE MAP UNVEILED
This week a map was released showing the whole of The Imperial Empire from Imperial City in the west to Roundhead in the east. The map also reveals the extent that Imperial City has grown over the last year.
NEW ARENA LOCATION REVEALED
This week the Imperial City Planning Commissioner revealed plans for a future Spleef Arena. The arena's location was disclosed in a preliminary map released to the press after the Commissioner's announcement. Reasons as to why the center of the bay was chosen for the arena's construction were outlined by the Commissioner during his presentation.
"The biggest factor is future growth. Where do we want the city to grow?" he asked, "In the west we have Imperial Forest, in the south Venice, in the east is the mountains and Castle Roundhead, which leaves the only real room for future growth to the north. In order to establish continuity between the northern shores and the city, the proposed arena location would be the best way to achieve this."
No time frame was given for the beginning of this latest project, but it is speculated to start shortly after the arrival of new technology in the city which was revealed at the World Technology Expo 1.8.
NEW WALK-THROUGH VIDEO RELEASED!
Thursday night brought the release of a new YouTube video produced by Mayor Talamer. The video features one of the yet to revealed spotlights of the World of Raar, the USS Frontier. Check it out below!

-World of Raar News!- Apr. 04, 2014
Hello Crafty Miners! Welcome to another edition of the weekly Raar News.
Tri-C Engineering crews made more progress on the new residential tower. Three of the four sides were completely erected with the forth and final side still in process. The job site foreman confirmed to Raar News that the exterior of the building is on pace for completion early next week with crews planning to then switch over to completing the roof while an interior design contractor will begin their work on the lobby.

CONSTRUCTION UPDATE - THE BANK OF ENDER
Earlier this week, Sam Co. crews worked to restructure the south side of the bank. The new design was implemented to reflect architectural changes made by SammyMacman. These changes were then incorporated into the north side facade. The bank continues to take shape and has received high praise from Imperial City residents.
CONSTRUCTION UPDATE - MONSON HEIGHTS
APRIL FOOLS
This week April fools had everyone running around in villager costumes and making funny sounds as they walked and worked. City Council has dubbed this annual event as International Talk Like A Villager Day.
UPDATED CITY MAP
The City Planning Commissioner released an updated citywide map on Tuesday. The revised map now shows the Opera House, City Hall, Holland Hills, The Bank of Ender and Monson Heights. 'Since January, Imperial City has nearly doubled in size and continues to grow.' said the Commissioner during the map release press conference. He also indicated more growth is expected in the near future.
SECRET NEW PROJECTS IN THE FUTURE?
This week, Raar News was able to obtain images of possible future construction projects within Imperial City. Based on the images obtained, the city seems to be in the process of planning a Cargo Yard and Harbor area in the south and a new bridge in the north. When asked about the documents, the City Planning and Zoning Commissioners refused to comment, stating that the images were merely 'conceptual drawings for possible city growth', however they did not rule out the possibility that these projects might be undertaken at a future time period.

Until Next Week
Thanks for continuing to make this fun. We are grateful for all the suggestions and help from the community. Special thanks to Keegan for the Harbor/Cargo Yard suggestion... looks like things might be moving ahead (*speculation*). Also thanks to Mackie D for your help with the new World of Raar Google+ Community page which can be found and followed at the below link. There you can get sneak previews, make suggestions and chat with other Crafty Miners like yourself. Till we meet again, Happy Crafting.

-Spotlight- Lantern Rock Harbor
Hello again, Crafty Miners. For this week's spotlight, we travel far to the west of Jursammic Park, to an isolated island with some very unique features. Lantern Rock Harbour is a tranquil and humble home of the Swig Jiggers, a friendly sort of fishermen folk who inhabit the small island. Bright vibrant colored homes gives this place an inviting feel. To guide the boats home, a large lantern was hung from the jut of rock that cantilevers over the ocean below. It's beams of light penetrate even the darkest nights and wildest storms.
Rumors of days long past tell stories of pirates travelling to the island and hiding their booty within the hollow caverns of Lantern Rock. We met up with a local expert, Gordoff, who told us of these tales from the deep. He mentioned that to date the only things ever recovered from the ominous caverns is a chest full of fishing rods and a barrel full of squid cakes. He also told us of a saucy pirate dance they used to perform in the old days. Eager to display his heritage, Gordoff proceeded to walk to the end of the pier and dance a strange jig and sing what sounded like a rejected drunken sea shanty leaving us to wonder if this man was really an expert on the island or just the village idiot. Rumored also were sheep that inhabited the island, but we were unable to spot any in our brief stay.
Till next time, Happy Crafting!

World Of Raar Overview Map
A preliminary map has been generated of the World of Raar. The top right section is the location of Imperial City and the lands of The Imperial Empire. On the far left hand side is the lands of Jursammic Park. At the top middle is Riahtopia and directly south of this is Trevoria. Much more has changed since this map was generated, but it does give a general overview of the world.
