-World of RAAR News!- June 06, 2014

Hello Crafty Miners! Welcome to another edition of the World of RAAR news. This week we have quite a few updates. So let's get to it!

TRANS-HUB SUBWAY READY

After a few weeks of intense construction, Tri-C Engineering confirms that the Trans-Hub Subway Station has been completed. Incorporated into the new design is a receiving system that will teleport the passenger into the station once the rail car has arrived.

Crews have now shifted their focus to completing the subway tunnels and to begin construction on satellite stations for the tunnels to connect to.

Time will still tell when the new technology will arrive to the city that will see the rest of the Trans-Hub Station shifted from it's current location across the street to this new location. 

RAIL ALIGNMENT

The first subway connection has been made. The Imperial City subway system has now been connected to the Grand Central Station. This means that the city system now has access to the international rail system. 

The new subway system has prompted city officials to approve a plan to upgrade Grand Central with the new launcher/receiver design as was instituted in the Trans-Hub Subway Station. It is expected that the new system can be implemented swiftly with little interruption to services.

IMPERIAL PLAZA LOBBY RENOVATION

After months of renovation, Imperial Plaza's lobby final takes shape. The concept has moved away from earth tones and has moved into a brighter look.

The renovation was sparked by Sam Co.'s desire for office space within the building and subsequent expansion. Imperial Plaza was first home to Mayor Talamer when he first settled the area. The building has seen multiple renovations over the coarse of the years. Once the hub of transportation, it has now become a hub of business.

Plans show that an elevator system and additional office space are yet to be incorporated into the tower, which houses Trans-Hub Inc. and Sam Co. Construction.

SAM CO. OFFICE RE-OPENS

Sam Co. has re-opened it's doors to its employees as a new project section has been completed in the expanded portion of the office. The new section is meant to facilitate workers in outstanding, current and future construction projects undertaken by the construction giant.

Promotion of travel to Jursammic Park has also been a focus. Showcasing several architectural wonders, Jursammic Park has widely been revered for its construction masterpieces most of which have been undertaken by Sam Co.

-SPOTLIGHT- The Transfer Station

Welcome back Crafty Miners to the World of RAAR!

Today we travel to the borders between The Imperial Empire, Trevoria and Riah-topia where a remote rail hub stands firmly planted in the midst of a vast ocean. The Transfer Station was originally built on a simple cobblestone platform that protruded from the ocean floor. It allowed the original Imperial Rail Line to connect with a small island known as Ender Island and further to the distant shores of another continent where once stood the frontier outpost, Fort Dodge.  

When the kingdoms of Trevoria and Riah-topia were created, the Transfer Station became an important rail hub, where travelers could switch trains to any of the three realms. This required the station to be upgraded to include for a map, automatic rail car dispensers and most importantly, more walking space. 

Shortly after the upgrade was completed, a giant squid emerged from the ocean deep causing widespread panic. However, this was short lived when it was revealed that the squid was actually very friendly and  a vegetarian. To ensure the enormous squid would not go on a destructive rampage, residents of nearby Imperial City decided to feed the squid a plethora of trees each day. So far, the creature has remained docile next to the Transfer Station.

The Transfer Station is currently owned and operated by the Trans-Hub Corporation who acquired the station in order to expand their transportation network. Interviews with Trans-Hub Corporation executives have revealed a future expansion may be in store to incorporate a canal linkup and walkway large enough for RAARians to ride horses on. No date has been set for when the upgrade may happen.

Welcome back Crafty Miners to the World of RAAR news! This week has been a busy one, so let's get started.

MONSON HEIGHTS GETS FIRST RESIDENT

SammyMacman, owner and operator of the Sam Co. construction company, has fast tracked his new apartment in Monson Heights to completion.  The luxurious double floor suite has taken shape over the past week with Sam Co. construction crews finishing up work late Monday night. 

RAAR News was granted access to the apartment for a photo op on Wednesday afternoon. The swanky-looking suite overlooks the majestic Imperial City Opera House which Sam Co. crews have put on hold till new technology arrives in the city. 

The elevator also had a minor face lift with the installation of some glass panels.

JURSAMMIC PARK TRAIN STATION UPGRADE

SAM Co. Construction also began renovations on the Jursammic Park train station this week. The plans for the upgraded station include separate areas for International Transporters, Local Transporters, the Nether Portal, Scenic Park Transporters and National Park Transporters. The layout of the station is also being overhauled to make it easier to access and navigate.

CATHEDRAL CONTINUES TO TAKE SHAPE

The Trevorian Cathedral continues to expand with the beginning addition of the second spire. A footprint of the Cathedral has also been established around the surrounding land. In all, this massive project continues to grow and take shape.

MONSON HEIGHTS LOBBY CONSTRUCTION

Earlier this week, Talamer released a video showing the beginnings of the Monson Heights lobby. Plans to release further videos is going forward. If you haven't already, take a look at the first phase of the lobby construction embedded below.

-World of RAAR News!- May 03, 2014

Welcome back Crafty Miners to the World of RAAR news update. The printing press got jammed up yesterday so Update Friday is on Saturday this week.

STANDING TALL

The exterior of Monson Heights has been completed. The final block was laid last Saturday by Tri-C construction crews who worked the weekend trying to bring the tower construction back on schedule. Work on the lobby of Monson Heights has now begun and several floors have been built for future residential apartments.

APARTMENT SPACE

Apartments sold out in Monson Heights in less then one day! Before the last floor had even been put in, tenets were knocking at the doors looking to buy up the available apartments. One of those perspective future tenets was SammyMacman, owner and operator of the Sam Co. construction company. Upon securing the possession of two floors of Monson Heights, he had his crews begin on his personal suite.

By Wednesday last week, SammyMacman had a customized elevator installed and a second entrance already built.

Other tenets securing apartments on Saturday included Lord and Lady TNT McD and Little Owl Girl. The penthouse was pre-sold to Imperial City Mayor, Talamer. 

"I look forward to moving in." said the Mayor on Friday after council meeting, "My commute to work will only be few minutes now."

The island of Riah-topiah continues to see more work being done to it. This week, Little Owl Girl, Queen of Riah-topia began to landscape her mountainous property. An arbor, swing, flowers and trees were all added to beautify the island retreat. Meanwhile inside, the ceilings were painted and a new fireplace installed.

BEHIND THE SCENES

Rumor has it that somewhere deep inside the lands of Jursammic Park, Sam Co. crews have been secretly working on a castle complete with a dragon. RAAR news has attempted to confirm the reports with pictures but as of yet have been unsuccessful in locating the new structure.

Also this week, Talamer and Little Owl Girl went on a quest to prank their fellow miners. A video was taken of their exploits and is in the process of being edited.

A new video Lets Play series is also underway which will show the construction of the Monson Heights Lobby. Look for it on our YouTube channel soon.

-SPOTLIGHT- The Sand Castle

Long before Imperial City was first conceived and when the world was still overrun with zombies and creepers, Talamer begun construction on an outpost in the great eastern desert. That outpost has come to be called The Sand Castle.


Welcome back Crafty Miners to another World of Raar Building Spotlight. Today we explore that same outpost as it now is, a hub in The Imperial Empire rail system.

The Sand Castle was originally constructed as a single tower. It's main purpose was to give Talamer a place to hold up during the long nights and to defend against the various monsters that once existed in the World of Raar. During the day, Talamer would mine the sand from the surrounding desert. The sand was vital to the construction of the nearby Tree Palace which was constructed completely out of glass blocks. Eventually, to widen the scope of defence, Talamer expanded his single tower into a four walled perimeter wall. In the center he created a treed courtyard. He had to use his gardening techniques to create a path from outside of the desert to the courtyard as to encourage grass to grow into the desolation of the desert.


Once the glass Tree Palace was completed, Talamer converted the upper section of the tower into a train station and connected The Sand Castle to the rail system. When glass blocks became readily available, the castle fell into disrepair and was just the end of the line for the trains.




With the construction of the nearby Equestrian Center, The Sand Castle was renovated to expand the upper section of the tower to include a new branch of rail. This new spur added the Equestrian Center to the rail system and allowed The Sand Castle to once again be used as a hub.

Welcome back Crafty Miners! It's Friday, which means time for the weekly News. Let's get to it.

REACHING NEW HEIGHTS

Construction crews started back to work this week at the Monson Heights building site located in the downtown core of Imperial City. Progress included finishing the exterior walls and construction of the roof of the building. The roof design calls for an Art Deco spire to match the rest of the building. Once the roof is complete, construction on the interior is expected to then begin. No word yet on when.

MODERNIZING

In the land of Riah-topiah, Little Owl Girl has begun redesigning her island paradise. Over the years, animals have been attracted to the island and eventually they overtook it. To regain control, a mass purge of the overrun animal population was required. With the grisly task completed, she began to redesign her existing home, giving it a more modern flair. The interior was also gutted and plans for a new layout have already been put in the works.

ARCHITECTURE IN GLASS

Lord TNT has continued to oversee the progress of his cathedral in Trevoria. This week, construction crews hoisted up the latest stained glass creation and secured it in it's new home at the center of the entrance tower. It is not known what the next step will be in this monstrous building, but one thing is clear, the attention to detail remains stunning.

STABLE-IZING STALLS

Horse stalls have begun to be installed inside Lady TNT's enormous breeding stable. The stable, which has seen much of the exterior completed to this point, looks to have construction crews moved indoors for the next while. According to sources, Little Owl Girl has been aiding Lady TNT in her design efforts.

-SPOTLIGHT- Imperial City Museum

Hello Crafty Miners! This week we visit the freshly restored Imperial City Museum where just last week, the first exhibit opened to the public. The museum has seen many changes over the years. First built over a year ago, this 11 story structure was carved from the surrounding mountains and became the second skyscraper in Imperial City. It was also the first building to utilize the boat elevator system of travelling between floors.

Sadly, the museum never opened an official exhibit and time constraints eventually forced the building into disrepair. However earlier this year, a revitalization program for the museum was put forward and approved by city council. Work began almost immediately to gut the incomplete interior and reconstruct a new lobby and implement a command block elevator system. With these features complete, exhibit halls were able to be added and exhibits started to take shape. 

The first exhibit to open was the Earth and Mineral Exhibit on the 10th floor. Already the second and third exhibits are preparing to open in the next few days. The Mesa and Glass Exhibits will share the same floor (9th) with each other and will give patrons a glimpse at all the varieties and colors that surround these two areas of study.

Plans are also underway for Redstone and Natural Science exhibits. No news on when they may open, but museum officials say they are well on their way to get these set up shortly.
