-World of Raar News!-

Imperial City Hall Construction Update

Today we were able to take a quick guided tour through the City Hall construction site. Since our last visit, several new offices have been added and are ready to be moved into including Mayor Talamer's.

In addition to the newly constructed Mayor's office, there are also now offices for the Cultural, Zoning and Environmental Commissioners and the City Planner. The second floor is now the focus of the construction team. More offices and a council chamber are planned for this floor.

Opera House Construction Update

Across the street from the City Hall Construction site, The Imperial City Opera house continues to take shape. The roof is now in the initial stages of design, but still lots of work remains to finalize a concept and to have it implemented. Meanwhile inside, the balcony seating now has halls which will connect them to each other and eventually to the main elevator and staircase. Production had ground to a halt over the last weekend due to a illness that spread rapidly through the construction crew. Though not back up to full capacity, Sam Co. has pushed onward in its efforts.

Businesses Establish Offices in Imperial City

In other related news, Sam Co. and Trans-Hub have both established offices within Imperial City.

Sam Co. Office located in Imperial Plaza

Sam Co. is owned and operated by SammyMacman. Its construction arm of the company has led in such projects as The Opera House and the newly announced construction of the Bank of Ender. Mayor Talamer told us in an interview this morning that "Sam Co. is a major player in the construction projects of this city and we look forward to working with SammyMacman and his company."

Trans-Hub Tests Station 1

Trans-Hub is also fairly new to Imperial City. They are known for their streamlining of transport systems, and have already established a test station within Imperial City. Similar stations are now in the plans for across the entire metro area and will allow patrons to have the option to decide how they want to travel; be it by boat, subway or teleportation.

Both offices are located within Imperial Plaza.

-SPOTLIGHT- Sky Castle

We decided to continue our train ride west into the vast expanse of Jursammic Park. This far stretching land is ruled by a creative genius, SammyMacman. We were fortunate to have this opportunity to visit one of the great wonders that exists in the World of Raar, Sky Castle.

Sky Castle, seen here with scaffolding for a future spiral staircase.
Built block for block, the rocky plinth of this incredible structure reaches out of the ocean and spreads into a grassy edifice upon which the entire castle firmly sits. Its quartz and cyan construction takes on the classical forms from ancient Rome and Greece and gives it a futuristic flair.

Throughout the design, attention has been given to details such as gargoyles, spires, and even a tranquil fountain located in the front courtyard.

Originally, this grand building was inspired by a pipe organ with the lofty towers jutting out at different heights. It now stands as one of the most epic builds that we have visited.

Unfortunately, most of the interior has been left temporarily vacant, however we were able to go down into the castle mount via a staircase located at the back of the center tower. Within the rocky edifice is an enormous jungle tree which stands like a guardian statue at the center of the plinth. The tree reaches down to the very depths of the castle base where it was planted on the original earth shortly after the exterior construction had been completed. Looming overhead of this cavernous chamber are several wonderfully designed chandeliers offering much needed light but maintaining an ominous ambiance of awe and mystique.

At night, Sky Castle looms over the darkened terrain like a gleaming tower. It is unlike anything we have ever experienced in our travels.

Truly this is a must-see for all who venture into the realms of Jursammic Park. Hopefully you have enjoyed this brief look at this fascinating structure. Please feel free to leave a comment or a like to show SammyMacman you love his work and want to see more. We will continue to travel around the World of Raar and bring you the pictures and news. -SPOTLIGHT- Horse Stable

For today's Spotlight, we decided to hop a train to the distant land of Trevoria where a husband and wife team have established a quaint settlement nestled between the giant territories of The Imperial Empire and Jursammic Park.
The couple, known as TNT_McD, have been quietly working on their own projects and it is our privilege to showcase one of these. Mrs TNT_McD has always been an avid fan of horses, so naturally once these wonderful creatures started to appear within the World of Raar, Mrs TNT_McD started rounding them up. In order to keep her steeds free from harm and the ever changing elements, she constructed a beautiful horse stable. This sizable stable contains eight sectioned-off stalls which include separate pens on the exterior.
We are grateful for the tour of this unique facility and hope to travel back soon to see what other creations Mrs TNT_McD has come up with. The photos of our trip are below. Please give this post a thumbs up for the hard work put into this project.

-NEWSWEEK-

Imperial City Mayor Talamer announced today that the Bank of Ender has been granted a building permit on the lands adjacent to the Imperial City Opera House. It is expected that Sam Co. Construction will be responsible for the redevelopment and subsequent construction of the mega bank which will house one of the largest and most secure vaults known in the World of Raar.

"I was thinking like a Scrooge McDuck vault, with layers of obsidian/lava/bedrock/water/iron etc. depending on how big it is it could have different codes (via 1.8) or doors like Jack Benny’s vault/Get Smart, and it’s a project that could be built inside out." said the owner of Sam Co, SammyMacman, on Friday.  "It could also be rigged where if you put in the wrong code, you get teleported to like a city jail or something. Inside would be all gold and gems….there could also be a separate area with... safety deposit boxes."

The announcement comes on the heals of several new lots being mapped out and declared ready for development.

"We look forward to continuing on working with Sam Co. They have been a great asset to our city and we welcome them back with open arms." spoke the Mayor during his announcement.

Sam Co. Construction is currently in the process of bringing several projects to life, primarily the Imperial City Opera House which is quickly taking shape right across from City Hall. No date has been announced for the ground breaking of the bank, but it promises to be sizable build within the fair city of Imperial.

New lots available for development

-SPOTLIGHT- Bridge to Venice

Today`s Spotlight is on the Venice Bridge. This structure was built to link Imperial City to the middle of the southern ocean where a Venice-style city has only recently started to take shape. The bridge itself was modeled after the Roman Aqueducts. Quartz was later added to give more definition to the shape.

-CONSTRUCTION UPDATE- Opera House

Located next to the future city hall is Sammy Co.'s latest project. The Imperial City Opera House. Currently, about 95% of the exterior is complete with the exception of a roof for this intricate build. Meanwhile the interior lobby has already taken shape and construction of the immense opera hall is in full swing. You can see the full sneak peak pictures below.
